About Hometown Barbeque
Getting off the ground in 1999 as a weekend business, Martha Kelly and George Richbourg started Hometown Barbeque in a concession trailer in a drugstore parking lot. Martha, an elementary school teacher, and George, a financing specialist at a heavy equipment company were looking for a change, perfected their barbeque technique, and worked nights and weekends to get Hometown off the ground. Subsequent success lead them to quit their 9-5’s, take a chance, and open their current location on Labor Day weekend 2004. The focus has always, and remains, great barbeque and a friendly atmosphere for the whole family.
